We are thrilled to release Phonkerie Vol. 2, the second installment of our Phonkerie compilation series and the first Phonk compilation produced by a French label to ever come out on vinyl. This is literally history in the making.

Back in July 2020, we were blessed to share with you our first release, Phonkerie, Vol.1. Ever since, we’ve never stopped discovering new artists and spreading Phonk music as much as possible. Now, after 4 projects released on tapes, we're very happy to drop this vinyl.

As usual, our goal is to shed some light on the dynamic local scene. Indeed, we are honored to have on board NxxxxxS, one of the scene’s most celebrated figure, alongside well-established local acts like Train Fantôme, Llucas (aka Glouton) ,Sathim or Dropout Marsh, and brillants cats like Tha Kwazar, Robbgikma, Sages Mécréants or Eust4che. All of them provide different vibes. The LP takes you through a colorful ride from scream-rap anthem « Essence » which features for the first time underground’s ethereal character Yuri J and Train Fantôme, to the G-Funk inspired « Shine In Da Rain » by Sathim, passing by more traditional laid-back Phonk tunes like « Cruisin In Jupiter » by Tha Kwazar.

A big part of this release is also our commitment to continue building worldwide bridges with Phonk musicians. Ukrainian star Roland Jones delivers a banger only him has the secret of, while Canadian legend Lowpocus shares a gem from his collaboration with rapper Deusgod. Cxxlion from Sweden, Cana from Germany and WTFTHISYEAR from Belgium make it a total of 6 countries represented on Phonkerie Vol.2.

This took a whole year to put together and It wouldn’t have been possible without the artists involved in the process and the support of our community so we are very grateful for the love.
